There are certain times when you just need a day off. I had a lot of things to do this morning which did not include writing and I was exhausted, so I decided to take today off. I’m the type of person who grew up taking Sundays off, as I am Christian. So, to me, it feels wrong to do unnecessary work on Sundays. Plus, it’s lovely to have one day a week where you can just relax.
So that’s what I’m doing this afternoon, as opposed to writing. However, tomorrow I will buckle down and write!
Daily Summary
Words written today: 0
Total words written: 13,956/50,000
Goal words needed: 12,904/50,000
Difference: 1,042 words head of schedule
Current chapter: Chapter 4
Time spent writing: 0 hours
Current weather: Sunny, sunny, sunny.
Tips: Just because you take a day off from writing does not mean you don’t think about your story. Take any time off to ruminate on where you want to story to go, the depth of your characters, and the important themes. Many writers make the mistake of taking a break from writing and not thinking about their writing, so when they return they don’t know where they want to go with it.
Extra notes: I need a nap.
It’s always good to take a day off from writing. Enjoy your day nevertheless.

It’s always helpful to have a bit of a day off. It’s a good tip to still think about your story. You don’t have to leave your world just because you aren’t spilling it on to a page
