So, unto my third and final quote.
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”
— The Fellowship of the Ring, J. R. R. Tolkien
This is the beginning of a poem in Chapter 10 of the first book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Not only is it one of my favorite poems, but it is one of my favorite quotes. However you interpret this poem, to me it speaks of not getting caught up in material wealth and instead searching for more meaningful truth. To gain deeper relationships then those found on Facebook and Twitter. To grasp deeper understanding in the world, as a sage might do. And not be shaken in your belief by pretty lies. It is just such a beautiful poem!
This is the third day of the challenge. As with all my tags and challenges I do, I will not tagging anyone else (mostly because a lot of the blogs I follow already do a lot of quotes, so it would be pretty pointless to tag them). But I really enjoyed doing this and anyone who wants to do it as well, I would love to know three quotes you love!
Best wishes in your life full of adventure,
Madame Writer
I love how you try new things in your blog!
