Easter’s Over
Colorful eggs, stuffed bunnies
Memories we’ll try to remember
Sick to our tummies
Filled with jelly beans and peeps.
Singing in church
Praise the Lord’s great news
Squeezed in like sardines
Into the wooden pews.
Stores in the US have replaced the eggs
With red, white, and blue
And firecrackers and lawn chairs
And Easter is gone.
