This month was a dismal reading month. I only read 5 books. Saying that, I know many people who don’t even read any books in a month, so everything is relative. It’s simply that I was so busy with Camp NaNoWriMo this month as well as getting ready to sell my house that I was confined to reading only a half hour or so before bed (if even that), which does not give me much time to make progress on books. Luckily, BookTubeAThon starts today, so hopefully I’ll be reading seven books this week. But these are the books I did manage to read.
2 Stars
- Midnight in Peking: How the Murder of a Young Englishwoman Haunted the Last Days of Old China by Paul French
- my review here.
- Island of the Mad (Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes #15) by Laurie R. King
- my review here.

5 Stars
- Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery by Eric Metaxas
- my review here.
And there we go. Short and simple. I’m amazed I was actually able to give full reviews for every book I read this month, which is a rarity for me.
What books did you read this month? Have you read any of these books? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments, follow my blog for more madness and, as always,
Best wishes in your life full of adventure,
Madame Writer
Five books are better than nothing. Consider that a book a week! š

I feel you, but 5 books are more than enough compared the 3 I only read! I was experiencing a small reading slump, but it’s over now. All the best with BookTubeAThon and I look forward to more of your awesome reviews!
