Today was crazy. I took a trip with my family to the Mall of America in Minnesota, which took up all the morning and part of the afternoon. So I didn’t even have a chance to start writing until just a few hours before this post has to go up. My point is that I didn’t get much writing done today…at least, not as much as I wanted.
There are also only six days left of the challenge. I will be so happy when it is done and I can rest my fingers from typing so much.
Daily Summary
Words written today: 1,649
Total words written: 47,989/50,000
Goal words needed: 40,325/50,000
Difference: 7,664 words ahead
Current chapter: Chapter 13
Time spent writing: 2.5 hours
Tips: Part of the challenge of writing is getting in the right mindset. If you are worried about something or tired from work, odds are you will have difficulty writing. In an ideal world, it is important for a writer to remove all distractions (internal and external) when they are writing. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal world…
Extra notes: It poured today! Poured! For about an hour and now the sun is out…weather is so weird. What are you doing up there, God?
I find it easy to write during distractions and I have no idea why, but I’m not complaining since I’ve been doing it when I was young. It’s POURING here, too! I hope you enjoyed the trip. ๐

Thank you! You’re so lucky! I’m as distracted as a dog somedays when I write.

You’re welcome! It might be a bad thing to do, but I tend to ignore things around me when I’m reading or writing.

It’s only a bad thing if a plane is about to crash into your house…or aliens are arriving on earth.

Maybe I can still ignore the plane crash, but those aliens are going down! ๐I trust that your weekend was restful.
