I am totally fighting a cold, I’m constantly tired, I have no motivation to write, and I literally want to lay in bed all day. However, I can’t. Not only do I have Camp NaNoWriMo to do, but my family is also in the process of selling our house and moving. Our house just went on the market a couple days ago, and for those who have sold a house in the USA, you’ll probably know that means leaving the house frequently for people to come see it. This on top of the fact that I’ve barely been eating because of how hot it is and I’m trying not to get sick, and it makes Camp NaNoWriMo so much worse. But I’m complaining…and this is not the time to be negative.
Luckily, I got a lot of writing done in the first half of the month, so as long as I stay on the schedule of writing 1613 words a day, I’ll have no trouble finishing the challenge.
Daily Summary
Words written today: 1,856
Total words written: 32,429/50,000
Goal words needed: 25,808/50,000
Difference: 6,621 words ahead
Current chapter: Chapter 9
Time spent writing: 2 hours (in really short intervals, though, because I could not focus)
Current weather: Still hot, but not as hot. It’s a sad day when your definition of cool weather is 84 degrees.
Tips: When you can’t focus on writing, the best thing is to step away from the computer (or notebook) and do something active. Dust your house, go for a walk, get your blood flowing to your brain to help with concentration.
Extra notes: I can’t wait for summer to be over and the weather to get cooler.
I hope you feel better soon and I can only wish you and the family all the best with the move. Take care of yourself.
