I’m back to writing and super pumped! I am slightly worried about later this month, because I’m going to be busy with family stuff. For the next few days I’m going to be trying to get as much writing done as possible, both getting ahead in my NaNoWriMo challenge and my regular blog posts.
So, that means a lot of determination and hard work, which also means I have to go now and do more writing!
Daily Summary
Words written today: 4,040
Total words written: 17,996/50,000
Goal words needed: 14,517/50,000
Difference: 3,479 words head of schedule
Current chapter: Chapter 5
Time spent writing: 4.5 hours
Current weather: Rained early this morning, but now it’s bright and super hot! I love air conditioning.
Tips: Am I the only writer who picks out a couple theme songs for my book, which I listen to over and over again to get in the mood for writing? I’m not sure, but it works for me!
Extra notes: Wow, 4,000 words in one day. I impressed myself…but I still need a nap.
The theme music really helps develop the mood. Sometimes I’ll even write to the song if that makes sense? Playlists are the fun bit of writing!

I’ve never written a song for a book, but playlists are amazing to get in the mood.

Well, my book is set in 1930s China, so I’ve been listening to a lot of Chinese music. One of my favorites is Do Not Alone (by Lala Hsu). It’s such a beautiful song! And thank you! I’ve been working really hard.
