So, it’s the end of the month again and I’ve read a dismal seven books this month…even worse than the eight last month. I’ve been so busy I haven’t bothered spending time reading and many of the books I start, I cast away in disgust. I’m pretty sure the amount of books I DNF this month is higher than the books I did finish.
However, on the other hand, none of the books I did finish this month were under two stars, so that’s nice. Also, I have a big announcement I’m posting later today, so stay tuned for that!

Murder in the Bowery (A Gaslight Mystery #20) by Victoria Thompson
- How can I say anything critical about this series? It has been in my life for so many years it feels as if it is my old friend. Since I discovered it nearly a decade ago, I have been slugging through catching up. And I finally did it…until the next book comes out. Anyway, this particular book is by far my favorite book in the series since Murder in Little Italy (which with the first book is my favorite). While the characters always remain near and dear to my heart, in this book the mystery really caught my attention. Usually the set-ups in this series define where the plot will go, but with this book I was constantly defied in my expectations. It was suspenseful, shocking, saddening, and yet through it all Frank and Sarah keep the reader on an even keel in the search for justice. Suffice it to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1) by James Dashner
- My review here.
I’m surprised how all the books on this list but one I did a full review for, which is rare for me. Usually I’m way too lazy to do a full review for every book, but perhaps this month is different because I read so few books.
Have you read any of these books? If so, what are your thoughts on them? How many books did you read this month? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments, follow my blog for more madness and, as always,
Best wishes in your life full of adventure,

Maybe it is better that way, reading fewer books but providing detailed reviews. Are you considering that?

I have been considering that! I like trying different things and I’m actually enjoying spending more time on each book.
