Rats and Flies

Rats
and flies
have little
in common but
both are deeply misunderstood creatures.

All they do is try to survive a world
that is cruel and
cold and still
they just
live.

(One more day!!!!! Tomorrow, I will attempt that Sonnet I’ve been avoiding all month!)
