Daily Thought #71

I have a write-in today, so I will keep this as brief as possible. But perhaps I should explain exactly what “write-in” means.

A write-in is a meeting (with your friends, writing club, etc.) where you get together and write for a certain amount of time (we usually have ours for about five hours). Not only is it great because it forces you to actually sit down and write, but it’s also encouraging because if you need any advice your friends/fellow writers are there to aid you.

Maybe you don’t have any friends you know that write. Well, you can do a solo write-in. Just rid yourself of distractions, just some snacks, sit down, and write. It’s that simple, and something I recommend every writer do once in a while.
